Watch Brian d'Arcy James perform at the White House
If you weren't able to catch Brian's great performances right in front of the first family, you can see a YouTube clip of him performing with Nathan Lane right here. Treasure Found - 1913 Photo of "Eastwood" home in Ottawa
Patrice and I were unpacking a large box of china that came north from Florida with my grandmother, Laura, in 1987. In addition to the china, the large box also contained a mirror and a series of photos. One of them was a picture I remember seeing in the early 70's but thought had been long lost--a snapshot of Eastwood, the Kellys estate in Ottawa, Illinois. The "state of the art" home was the talk of the town, but no longer stands.

The Purples!
Congratulations to Laura Kelly's husband, Warren Berger, who published his novel, The Purples. It's an exciting page turner that is first-person account of Detroit's infamous Purple Gang. Laura's grandfather, Harry Kelly, is the model for Harry Reilly, a prosecutor dealing with Joe Bernstein of the Purples and a local radio host based upon Jerry Buckley.
