What's New November 2011
Just a couple quick Kelly Family Network notes:

New Book:  Congratulations to Laura Kelly (Emmett's granddaughter, Emmett Jr.'s daughter) for her published book Dispatches from the Republic of Otherness.  Laura's currently on a book-signing tour and you can check it out at this link at Amazon.  Here's a quote from its Facebook page:

Laura Kelly's coyly roguish collection of stories, Dispatches from the Republic of Otherness, takes readers from Albania to Slovakia to Mongolia and countries further afield. In 1997 Kelly was awarded a Fulbright to teach journalism in Tirana, Albania, a year that she says "derailed her life." She subsequently returned for seven years to Eastern European countries recently unleased from
Communism to work with student journalists.

"I was pulled by the audible sound of history physically unfolding around me. I had a ringside seat and a whole lotta love," Kelly says.

With a generous sense of wonder and mischief and the keen eye of a storytelling journalist, Kelly chronicles the surprising resonance of ordinary encounters with her students, her neighbors and herself, viewed through the prism of a stranger in strange lands.

Smash coming in February!  Brian d'Arcy James (Harry's grandson, Mary's son) will be playing the husband of Debra Messing in NBC's "Smash" beginning in February.  You can see a trailer with Brian in it at this link to the Playbill article on the series.
