Sorry for the delay in the website updates. It was a quiet summer, genealogically-speaking. Don't forget to check the home page or update your family's bio info with Build-A-Bio. Harry Kelly Queries: I have had some interesting queries lately on Harry Kelly via Google searches. One person was looking up information on Michigan State admittance to the Big Ten and the role Harry and Notre Dame played in that decision. Harry's daughter Joanne sent him an update that you can read at this link. Also, the Ottawa, Illinois newspaper was interested in Harry's WWI record for a Veteran's Day newspaper article. Possible Kelly Family Florida Reunion--April 4-5, 2009? I thought I'd start the conversation rolling with a time that my family could make it down to Florida--the weekend before Easter. Shrek on Broadway starring Brian d'Arcy James: Shrek: The Musical opens on Broadway this month starring Harry's grandson, Brian d'Arcy James, and is getting great buzz after its successful run in previews in Seattle. You can read much more at the show's website including getting tickets to the show. Here's a video that previews the show and its cast. My sister Katie and I are taking our families to see it on Monday, December 22nd. In case anyone wants a mini-Kelly reunion in New York that weekend tickets were still available for our show at the time of this writing. (See link above.) Brian is featured in the recent People magazine that you can read on his home page on our site. On that page, there is also a picture of Brian with Ricky Gervais in the recent film, Ghost Town. Finally, if you want a good laugh, check out this video of Brian doing an improv sketch involving him singing boring documents, including a Chinese restaurant menu and airline safety instructions. Helping to Support the Site: I've had a few inquiries about financial help for the site. It only runs about $80 per year. So if you'd like to help out, there's a PayPal button on the home page that allows you to contribute via credit card for one month, three months, six months or a year.
