I hope you have a great Thanksgiving.  After the November birthday list I've got some new items to the website listed below.  --Kevin

 

 

 

Tony nominee, Brian d'Arcy James, Harry's grandson (Mary's son), is reprising his leading role in White Christmas Los Angeles' Pantages Theatre Nov. 22-Jan. 1.  Check out an article on the show by clicking here.

 

Brian is also performing two concerts in his hometown in Saginaw, Michigan on Saturday, December 10.  For more information, click here.

 

My two kids, Aidan and Abby, were actually interested in having their own web pages on the site, so I created bios for them.  For those of you reluctant to write your own bios, perhaps your kids or grandkids would like to have their own page (with pictures of pets, scanned artwork, best friends, whatever!).  All you have to do is click on Build-A-Bio (and, as usual, I'd love to get some bios from the rest of you as well!). 

 

In addition to the detailed trees (with middle names, birthdates, wedding pictures, etc.), there are also some basic trees to give you a quick glimpse at who begat whom.  You can start at Henry's Tree and see links to his kids detailed trees or basic trees.  You can also go back a generation from Henry to his father Martin's Tree or back one more generation to Henry's grandfather from Ireland, James' Tree.

 

Thanks to Sharon Wineka for submitting her bio and for sending along her dad's bio as well (Laura's son Jerry Walsh).  Laura named her oldest son after her youngest brother Jerry (who died November 15th last year).  Jerry, in turn, named his first daughter after his Uncle Larry's daughter.

 

If you've got some pictures from any new events (holiday pictures, baby pictures, weddings, World Series group shots) send them along and I'll give you a page.  For example, Andrea Kelly sent some great photos of her new niece, Maggie with her mom, Elizabeth, her Aunt Laura and her grandpa, Larry.

 

When Harry Kelly was re-elected governor in 1944 the Detroit Times ran a photo of him reading the results with his parents at his brother Larry's home in Bloomfield Township.  I sent the clipping along to the address and the current owner called me up and was thrilled to see the clipping as well as the website.  She invited me to stop by and take some pictures of the house.

 

I've been trying to gather addresses of homes that Kellys used to inhabit in Detroit and you can find them on the album pages of the home owners.  For example, Joanne Hagopian sent me the address of her father Harry's home in Detroit before they moved to Lansing.  So I drove by and took a picture of it and loaded it on Harry's Album Page.
