What's New June 2007

Hi everyone and Happy Father's Day,

Sorry for the long delay since my last update.  My laptop decided to end it all and after many efforts we needed to pull the plug.  So we've got a new computer and all is well again and I can once again resume my websiting.

I've also not had too many new things to add since Christmas. But with the new computer I finally figured out how to transfer some family movies to YouTube.  If you're not familiar with YouTube, it's a clearing-house of videos (10 minutes or less) that is free and open for anyone to view or add-to.

So, on this Father's Day, I'm happy to say that I've been able to load up some favorite clips of my dad and created a video file page on the site.  The video clips might take a little time to load, but if you've got a cable-modem it's not too bad.  You can click here if you'd like to see those clips.

In other Kelly news, my family had a great visit to Florida in April where we touched base with my Aunt Penny Jaeggi (Bob Walsh's former wife) as well as meeting Bob Kelly, Larry's son.  Bob and his wife Jackie were just a month away from moving back to Chatham, Illinois after Bob's miraculous recovery from cancer.  Bob's story is truly beautiful and inspiring and he promised me he wouldn't mind me typing it up for him.  I also was able to get some great family photos that I've added to Bob's page.

In March, Patrice and I enjoyed seeing Brian d'Arcy James in The Apple Tree which was just nominated for Best Musical Revival at the Tonys last week.  Here's the latest on Brian from his website:  "

Brian appears in a recurring role on the new ABC pilot Cashmere Mafia as "Max Brautigan", the owner of a restaurant where the four lead characters (Lucy Liu, etc...) dine frequently.

Finally, for security reasons, I'm probably going to be dropping the middle names and birthdates of living members of our family on the site.  Nothing has happened, but in this age of identity theft it makes sense.

I hope all is well.  Let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas for the site.
