I hope everyone's winter is coming to a smooth, easy conclusion.  In Michigan, I haven't had to shovel since December!

 

Happy birthday today to Joanne Kelly Hagopian, Paul Kelly and Julie Wineka (see March birthday list below). 

 

Good news for Brian d'Arcy James.  His off-Broadway show, "The Lieutenant of Inishmore" is being moved to Broadway on May 6; the New York Times and Wall Street Journal have given this dark comedy great reviews.  His current run ends in early April.  Patrice and I are going to see it on March 25.

Emmett Kelly Jr's kids:  Thanks to Patrik Kelly, Major's son, who sent me this picture from Christmas of his mom, his siblings and his kids and their cousins.

 

The Art of Jerry Kelly Jr.:  Jerry Kelly Jr. passed away in 1980, but his wonderful artwork survives him.  Thanks to his niece, Shan, who took pictures of his oil paintings and sent them along.

 

Joanne and Lou's 50th Anniversary Family Photo:  Congratulations again to Lou and Joanne who celebrated their 50th on New Year's Eve and sent this photo of their family taken after mass.

 

Kelly Family Bible from late 1800s:  Jerry Finnigan, who shares our same ancestor, Martin Kelly, sent photos of portraits and pages from Martin's family bible.  They include hand-written birth and death information. (Jerry's grandmother, Flora, was Henry Kelly's sister. Jerry and I hope to meet this spring or fall in Ottawa, Illinois to do a 3 day genealogy weekend!)
