Happy New Year! Just two days ago, the website celebrated its 1,000th hit. (Granted, 600 might be from me checking to see if it's working, but it's a fun round number to celebrate!)
Golden Anniversary
Congratulations, again, to Harry's daughter Joanne and Lou Hagopian who celebrated their 50th anniversary on New Year's Eve.
Busy Brian
It was great to see Brian d'Arcy James in Saginaw where he put on a great concert with the Saginaw Chorale Society and Kevin Cole. Brian is back in New York after a busy holiday season in LA starring in "White Christmas." Next he's off-Broadway in the dark comedy The Lieutenant of Inishmore. Any spare Christmas family pictures you can drop in the mail?
If you've got any of extra Christmas card family portraits that you can spare I'd love to get a copy so I can scan them and load them on the website. Please be sure to identify who's who!

If you'd like to send me any photos to scan and would like them back I'd be happy to send them immediately. Also, digital pictures are always welcome.
Tweaking, Ever-Tweaking...
I keep trying to make the pages more user-friendly (or at least engaging). You may notice that on the home page the photos of Henry and Mollie's nine kids now are a bit interactive. If you pass the mouse over their younger faces, you'll see them in later years.
Also, whenever I've added info or pictures to one of the nine branches, I'll indicate it on the aforementioned picture on the home page as well as on the individual's page. (PC users, you should see a quick list of new items when the mouse is parked on one of the mini portraits.)
Kind of a work in progress is a photo tree of the first three generations. If you'd care to take a look at it, click here. As you may notice, I'm missing some pictures altogether for a few of Emmett's kids and some recent photos of Walter's kids. Feel free to send me some newer ones!
New Bios
New bios added this past few weeks include my Uncle Jerry Walsh's kids: Susan Nouman, Pat Walsh and Mike Walsh (whose bios were supplied by their sister Sharon). Sharon's daughter Kelly, a 7th grader, also submitted her own bio and some pictures.
Thanks also to Sharon for allowing me to scan a bunch of great photos from the 50's through a couple years ago. These new photos are on the above home pages as well as on Jerry Walsh's home page.
My mom, Ann Walsh, even let me put together a home page for her! If you've got a spare few moments, send along your pertinent data on the Build A Bio page.
New Photos...
Emmett Jr's son, Andrew, sent along a great family picture. And Bob Walsh's daughter Kelly sent me nice photos of her niece and nephew Bailey and Parker (Kathy and Tom's kids) which I added to Laura's tree page along with photos of Mike and Val's 4 kids: Meredith, Morgan, Garrett and Madelyn.
Thanks also to Andrea Kelly who sent some pictures of Christmas at her father Larry's house in Ann Arbor. The pictures are at the bottom of Larry's home page.
Genealogists Unite!
I was contacted last week from Austin, Texas by TW McGuire, a genealogist who's been researching relatives linked to the Kelly family via Martin Kelly's wife, Ellen. I put him in touch with Jerry Finnigan who found our website last summer on Google. Both are avid researchers who could help us delve back much further than I've gone on this website.
