Terrence Edward Finnigan was born in South Bend, St Joseph, Indiana. He graduated from La Salle High School in South Bend. Terry joined the Army and served as an M.P. in the Viet Nam Conflict. While there he met and married Oanh Marie Tran in South Viet Nam. She was born in Hanoi in North Viet Nam. Her father fought and died in the French Viet Nam War. The family then relocated to Quin Nhon, South Viet Nam. Terry and Marie returned to the U.S. in 1973 and raised four children. Terry earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University in 1982.

They settled in South Bend and then bought a home in Nappanee, Elkhart, Indiana. Terry worked as a city policeman, and as a truck driver. Terry specialized in the transportation industry for over ten years, eventually operating his own company.

Terry and Marie divorced in 1994. Terry married Brenda Markin on April 4, 1996 in South Bend. She was b December 9, 1957 in South Bend. They lived in South Bend and had two children.

Terry and Brenda divorced in 1997. Terry now lives in Mishawaka and works for his brother Rick in Goshen, Indiana.
