Maureen graduated from Michigan and moved to Chicago where she met her husband (and fellow Wolverine) Mike. She worked in advertising then decided to return to school with Mike so they could become teachers. She worked in a private school in Plymouth before Nathaniel was born. Mike works at Plymouth Salem high school as a math teacher. They currently live in Dexter, Michigan after living in Ann Arbor for two years after their marriage.
