New Dock at the Toad, Memorial Day 2008

Kind of pretty, in a hazardous kind of way!

Before Memorial Day, Bill Rock removed the dock! Here are a couple of rare photos of a dock-less Toad Junction!

 

Below are the photos of the cement footings that the dock legs are resting on (instead of being pounded into the muck!).

 

The dock is made up of 9 separate sections that are 8' x 4'.

Each section is assembled on land and the dock planks are cut but they aren't added until the frame is in the water.

 

After the frames are in place and the planks put down, each plank is nailed into place (nearly 900 nails!).

 

Something new to this dock is a larger seating section at the top of the "T."
