Trip Back to Cincinnati
On our way back from visiting friends in Louisville, we stopped in Forest Park near Cincinnati where my mom and dad moved from Detroit in 1970. In 1973, they moved to Clawson. (Kevin, 8/9/09)
Kevin and Katie attended Cameron Park Elementary School until 1973.
Far in the distance can still be seen dad's "The Giant's Doorknob" (aka water tower).
The kindergarten rooms were behind this bench.
On kindergarten graduation, the graduates would sit on this bench for their picture.

It was rumored that Sparky Anderson lived in the condos behind the playground.

Even without the pool, they still have they lane dividers rolled up and ready!

A glimpse into what seemed like a huge hill and yard when you're in first grade.
Down the road from our house was Winton Woods metropark. And in this creek near its entrance lay all kinds of bullfrogs and crayfish ("crawdads").

Near this dead-end was an entrance into the woods where we could fish with my dad.
...but apparently fishing is discouraged.
