About 1969 Jerry married and divorced Sylvia Marie Woods. (There is some reason to believe that this marriage may have been a drug-induced delusion. There certainly doesn't seem to be any documentation to support the notion that Jerry married and then divorced several months later.) On January 16, 1971 Jerry married Helen Davida Edwards in South Bend. She was b February 28, 1943 in South Bend. She had previously been married to Robert Lee Isenbarger and they had two children. Jerry adopted these children in 1971 and their name was changed to Finnigan. Jerry and Helen then had one child.

Jerry and Helen divorced in May of 1989. He married Patricia Schafer December 5, 1992 in Goldfield, Maricopa, Arizona. She had previously been married to Gary Patrick Michael and had two children.

Jerry and Trish live in Gilbert, Arizona. They have six grandchildren. Jerry is done working and, if all goes well, Trish will be too by the end of the year.
